The Best Exercise...
Have nothing to do with irreverent, silly myths. Rather train yourself for godliness; for while bodily training is of some value, godliness is of value in every way, as it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come. Paul to Timothy
New year means new focus, re-calibrating, examining priorities, shifting as needed. Let's get in shape. Here are some exercises we can do without in 2020:
~ Jumping on the bandwagon ~ Wading through paperwork
~ Running around in circles ~ Pushing your luck
~ Playing in traffic ~ Spinning your wheels
~ Adding fuel to the fire ~ Beating your head against the wall
~ Climbing the walls ~ Beating your own drum
~ Dragging your heels ~ Jumping to conclusions
~ Grasping at straws ~ Fishing for compliments
~ Throwing your weight around ~ Passing the buck
~ Running with scissors And so on...
Exercise is absolutely necessary, and helpful. Growing in strength, fitness, limber-ocity and physical endurance: good. Better, however is growing in spirit, renewing my mind so the Spirit may transform me, memorizing Scripture, soaking in the Word and in God's presence. This is beneficial for now and for - ever.
