When thirsty, come...

“Come, everyone who thirsts, come to the waters...Incline your ear, and come to me; hear, that your soul may live; and I will make with you an everlasting covenant, my steadfast, sure love for David...Seek the Lord while he may be found; call upon him while he is near; God, through prophet Isaiah

Come to the fountain...

Jesus loved the imagery of living water. On the last day of the feast, the great day, Jesus stood up and cried out, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, ‘Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.’”  Now this he said about the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were to receive, for as yet the Spirit had not been given, because Jesus was not yet glorified John 7:37-39.

He used it as he shared with a woman at a well... “If you knew the gift of God, and who it is that is saying to you, ‘Give me a drink,’ you would have asked him, and he would have given you living water...Everyone who drinks of this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again. The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life" John 4:10-14.

God has living water that can flow, restore, save, heal, deliver and rescue any person --- who comes to him. How thirsty are you? I have found in my journey with Jesus that he moves the most according to my hunger and thirst for him, his presence. Desperate thirst bring spiritual power. The sad truth is that many of us are comfortable and ok with the level of living water we currently experience. When we get thirsty, desperately hungry for Him -- that's when the Spirit will flow the most. I'm thirsty for Jesus, aren't you? Come to the water...and drink.
