Join us for Harvest Home, our free community Thanksgiving meal on Thursday, Nov 27, 2025 at 12:00 PM. Whether you’re new to town, flying solo this year, or just want to share a table with friendly faces, you’re welcome here. Come as you are for a hot meal, great conversations, and a sense of home. Please choose a category and email kevin.king@vcabq.com with what you’ll do (e.g., cook one turkey, bring a tray of steamed vegetables, host a table, arrive at 10:00 AM for setup). Thank you for loving our neighbors in practical, joyful ways!
Cooking / Food Prep = turkey, or other protein, mashed potatoes, stuffing/dressing, gravy, green beans, sweet potatoes, rolls, cranberry sauce, gluten-free/vegan dish, etc.
Greeters & Welcome Team = front-door greeter, check-in/RSVP table, seating guide, prayer/encouragement team
Setup & Cleanup = table/chair setup, décor/signage, kitchen prep support, trash & recycling runs, dishwashing, teardown/sweep/mop
Kids’ Activities = craft table lead, simple games lead, check-in/out helper, quiet corner/books, allergen-aware snack cups
Photography / Story Capture = candid photos, short gratitude quotes/testimonies, consent forms, quick same-day selects, post-event gallery

Volunteer Time Commitment: Most roles run 10:00 AM–1:00 PM (arrive for setup and prayer huddle at 10:00 AM, meal served at 12:00 PM, cleanup wraps by ~2:00 PM). If you need a shorter shift, we can plug you in: Setup (10:00–11:30), Meal Service (11:30–1:30), Kitchen/Dish (12:30–3:00), Cleanup (2:00–3:00), or Kids’ Activities (11:30–1:30). Cooks bringing food can drop off hot by 11:30 AM (or cold by 10:00 AM for warming). Tell me your window and role when you email kevin.king@vcabq.com—we’ll make it work.
